TMJ: To Focus On Education And Infrastructure When He Cecomes Johor Regent
Tunku Ismail also said that when he becomes the Regent of Johor, he will focus on developing education and infrastructure in Johor. His top priority is to seek more autonomy for the state education department.
He is also considering whether to close down the religious schools in Johor as their syllabus does not meet the guidelines of the state religious department. He also believes that the key to “eradicating” religious extremism will be education.
He also hopes to work with the federal government to improve Johor's infrastructure, especially the flood control system.
