Twilight Director Rejected Taylor Swift's Cameo in the Film
Adapted from the series of novels written by Stephanie Meyer, the Twilight books and movie series definitely worshipped by millions of fans with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner who starred in the movies. In 2022, Robert Pattinson is starred as batman in Matt Reeves' “The Batman” movie.
Robert Pattinson‘s handsome appearance as vampire in the movie has fascinated countless people in the world, and Swift is obviously one of them.
“The craziest one of all those was to hear that Taylor Swift was a huge Twi-hard,” the Twilight director said. “Taylor would like to be in this movie, not because of you, but she’s a Twi-hard. She would be someone at the cafeteria or the diner or whatever, but she just wants to be in this movie,’” he said.
“In fact, Swift and I were sharing the same agent at the time, and he said, ‘Swift wants to do this movie, not because of you, but she's a die-hard Twilight fan.' She'd love to be in a cafe or restaurant. It's good to play passers-by, but she just wants to appear in the film.”
Despite Taylor’s fame, Weitz declined the offer because he thought Taylor would become a big distraction on set. He explained that for a girl who doesn't know if she should love vampires or werewolves and this whole family of immortals, this will make the movie not realistic.
“The hardest thing for me was to be like, the moment that Taylor Swift walks onto the screen, for about five minutes, nobody is going to be able to process anything,” he noted. “Sometimes you make decisions thinking this is for the best of the film,” he said.
