German authorities said that the websites of the country's airports, public administrations and financial institutions have been attacked by the Russian hacker group Killnet. Taiwan's Central News Agency cited foreign media reports, a spokesman told AFP that the Federal Office of Information Security (BSI) received information that a target in Germany was attacked by a “distributed blocking service”.
Russian Hackers Attack Germany Websites Due To Supplying Combat Vehicles To Aid Ukraine
The spokesman said the Russian attack involved airport websites and some financial institutions websites as well as websites of federal and state administrations.
According to Business Day, Killnet called for the attack in response to Olaf Scholz's announcement that Germany would send combat vehicles to aid Ukraine in repelling the Russian invasion.
