Serba Dinamik released an announcement on October 6. The company stated that Noor Azri Noor Azerai, the independent and non-executive director of Serba Dinamik Holding Bhd, resigned as the director to pursue his personal interest.

The oil and gas service provider has filed a resignation to Bursa Malaysia. Noor Azri joined Serba Dinamik as the director on November 25 last year. Noor Azri accepted the position only a day after its then chairman Datuk Mohamed Ilyas resigned as a gesture of protesting against the requirements imposed on Serba Dinamik by Bursa Malaysia.

When Noor Azri joined Serba Dinamik’s board, the group faced serious audit issues which sparked the debate between Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Mohd Najib on the proper response the government should take.

There was a discrepancy in the financial report on the transactions of RM 4.54 billion to the group’s independent directors. As a result, the group has slipped into Practice Note 17 status this year. The group’s market value sits at RM 62.12 million.

Noor Azri is the son of the businessman Datuk Seri Noor Azerai who sits on the boards of various companies, including Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Bhd, Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd and Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd.
