A number of Nestle products will be increased from September onwards. The products include breakfast cereals, Nescafe, coffee creamer and milk powder. The increase will range from 5% to 15%!
Coffee will be increasing at 5% and breakfast cereal-related products will increase in price by up to 15%.
Reasons for Nestle Products Increases
Klang Retailers Association (KMGRA) chairman Tan Teck Hock said the increase was due to weather factors, the weakening of the Ringgit and the rise in raw materials such as sugar and cocoa.
Tan Teck Hock said the price increase issue not only happens in Malaysia but is a global problem. He hoped that the government would be able to improve the economy and stabilize prices.
He also said that the government needs to focus on fixing the economy and it will take some time. The people need to wait a while for the economy to improve.
