Lizzo

The biggest names in music, including Nicki Minaj, Bad Bunny, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift, provided the 2022 Video Music Awards with a tonne of unforgettable moments.

On Sunday night, at least three performers made history: Taylor Swift announced the release of a new album after becoming the only person to win the award for video of the year three times; Blackpink made its American awards show debut and became the first female K-pop act to win the prize for group of the year; Bad Bunny gave an electrifying performance from Yankee Stadium and became the first non-English-language performer to receive the award for artiste of the year.

An eye-catching cameo by Johnny Depp, whose virtual face was grafted onto a gigantic moon man that hung over the VMAs stage at New Jersey's Prudential Center, also made headlines.

Following Aries Spears' body-shaming of her in an interview with the Art Of Dialogue, the Special artist made some comments that many took to be in retaliation for the comedian.

Lizzo tweeted on Monday morning to put an end to the rumours, saying, “Lemme make one thing VERY plain – I wasn't addressing anybody in my speech last night.” “I was speaking to EVERYONE.”
