It appears as though things are going well for Johnny Depp. After winning his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this summer, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 59, appears to still be on the rise, in part because of the multiyear contract he recently inked with Dior, according to TMZ.
The three-time Oscar nominee actor, who first signed with the fashion house in 2015, would resume his role as the face of the business's Sauvage scent for men as part of the purportedly seven-figure arrangement, the source has discovered.
In a joint post on Instagram with Depp on Monday, August 8, Dior Beauty shared black-and-white images of the actor taken by fashion photographer Greg Williams before he recently performed with Jeff Beck in Paris.
The caption reads, “Fearless yet human, just like Sauvage.”
According to insiders who spoke to TMZ, Williams' photographs will be used in a new Dior advertising campaign.
Even though Heard's charges of abuse caused Depp's fragrance advertisement to vanish from television, they finally made their way back even before Depp's victory.
The tumultuous relationship between the former couple came to light earlier this year during a defamation trial that lasted weeks and exposed all of their dirty laundry online. Depp was seeking US$50 million (RM222.9 million) and the Aquaman star, 36, was seeking US$100 million (RM445.7 million) in a countersuit.
