Shutting down Internet Explorer is to give users a better experience
Microsoft said that closing IE is to give users a better experience. They will help the remaining IE11 users to transit to Microsoft Edge, and those who have already migrated to Microsoft Edge will not be affected on Feb. 14.
Microsoft canceled IE on Windows 10 devices on June 15 this year on 20H2 and above, when other Windows versions (including Windows 8.1) on the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application and Windows 7 ESU, Windows SAC, etc. were not affected.
