CyberOne, Xiami Humanoid Robot That Walk Like Human and Recognise 45 Different Emotions

On August 11, Xiaomi released a full-scale humanoid bionic robot which named as “CyberOne” in Lei Jun's 2022 annual speech. The robot is 1.77 meters in height and 52kg in weight. So far there are no announcement made on mass production of the robot.

The release of CyberOne will inevitably put some pressure on Tesla upcoming Optimus Bot. The Tesla Optimus Bot will be released on Tesla’s AI Day which has been delayed to September 30 recently by Elon Musk.

CyberOne is a new member of the Xiaomi robot Cyber family following the Xiaomi bionic quadruped robot dog Cyberdog last year, with the internal nickname “Tie Da”.

According to reports, CyberOne is equipped with the self-developed MiAl environmental semantic recognition engine and MiAl speech emotion recognition engine, which can realize 85 kinds of environmental sound recognition and 45 kinds of human emotion recognition in 6 categories, and even can be a good companion to you which can give you a hug when you are lost. All the above capabilities are integrated in the brain of CyberOne, and cooperate with the curved OLED display module to display interactive information in real time.

The instantaneous peak torque of the main motor of the hip joint of CyberOne can reach 300nm. With the self-developed humanoid biped control algorithm, the walking posture is more stable. In other respects, CyberOne supports functions such as holding a 1.5 kg weight with one hand, and dragging the upper limb in reverse to reproduce the movement.

Lei Jun said that Xiami is still in the early stage of the field of intelligent robots, humanoid bionic robots as have the highest degree of technical integration and have high complexities. CyberOne is learning new skills every day and he believe that intelligent robots will go into people's lives in the future.
