Yesterday (2nd June), our country added 1,877 Covid-19 confirmed cases, 6 of them were imported infections. A total number of 4,510,196 cases have been accumulated since the pandemic began.

Selangor remains at the top with 886 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (315 cases), Perak (141cases), Penang (125 cases) and Negeri Sembilan (121 cases). Other states have a double and single-digit number of confirmed cases.

While the number of active cases in Malaysia also increased by 160 yesterday, bringing the total to 23,208. The total recovered cases reported were 1,715 and 2 local deaths.

Nationwide Covid-19 ICU utilization rate at 60.7%

Based on COVIDNOW data yesterday, the utilization rate of patients admitted to ICU due to Covid-19 in our country accounted for 60.7%.

Selangor on top of the list with a high utilisation rate of 80.5%, followed by Kedah (78.1%), Kelantan (69.6%), Johor (67.9%) and Kuala Lumpur (65.6%).

Among the active cases yesterday, 95.7% undergo home quarantine, 0.1% were admitted to PKRC and 4.1% were hospitalised. The remaining 0.2% are admitted to ICU.
