Based on COVIDNOW data, the number of Covid-19 confirmed cases in our country dropped to 1,845 yesterday (May 26), and has accumulated over 4.49 million confirmed cases since Covid-19 outbreak.

Total number of active cases has accumulated to 25,189, which is a 12.3% drop compared to 14 days ago. Malaysia recorded three local deaths yesterday, two from Johor and one from Perak.

According to data, there were 109 deaths in May currently, April and March had 564 and 2235 death cases respectively, showing a clear downward trend.


Covid-19 patients admitted to ICU also fell by four to a total of 27 patients. The remaining 24,089 patients were quarantined at home, 1,056 patients were hospitalized and 17 patients were quarantined in PKRC. While there was 1825 recovered cases yesterday.

1.14 million childrens complete Covid-19 vaccination program

As of yesterday, over 1.14 million childrens in our country have completed the COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICKids) which received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine. More than 1.69 million children completed first dose of the vaccine.


Meanwhile, a total of 1.6 million (68.4%) adults received their first booster dos.


Our country issued a total of 13,331 doses of vaccine yesterday, which accumulated over 70 million vaccinations.
