According to MOH official website, Covid-19 cases in Malaysia dropped below 2,000 yesterday (16th May) with a total of 1,697 new local cases, decrease by 542 cases. Selangor remains at the top of the list with 1,148 cases.

There are 30,879 active cases accumulated in Malaysia. 96.2% of the patients were self-quarantined, 3.6% of patients were hospitalised, and the remaining were admitted to PKRC or ICU.

While there was an increase of 1,548 recovery cases and five deaths cases yesterday.

Covid-19: 30% of children are fully vaccinated

Based on data from COVIDNOW, 30% of children aged between 5 to 11 in Malaysia had been fully vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, while 46.4% of children only received their first dose.

Among adolescents aged 12 to 17, 93.4% (more than 2.9 million) had been fully vaccinated, and 96.5% (more than 3 million) only completed their first dose of vaccine.
