The end of Better Call Saul Series

Better Call Saul” producers, directors and screenwriters Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould recently said that the “Breaking Bad” is coming to an end after 61 immaculate episodes with an emotional end with Saul Gone. The two award-winning producers have confirmed that they no longer plan to create spinoffs after the finale of “Better Call Saul” Season 6 finale airs on August 15.

Gilligan said on Virtual TCA panels that “You can’t keep putting all your money on red 21. I feel like we probably pushed it doing a spinoff to Breaking Bad but I could not be happier with the results. Then I did El Camino and I’m very proud of that too. But I think I’m starting to sense you have got to know when to leave the party, you don’t want to be the guy with a lampshade on your head.”

Gilligan added that “I don’t have any plans right now to do anything more in this universe. I know I probably gave the same answer at the end of Breaking Bad. I gotta prove to myself that I got something else in me. I’m not a one trick pony, that’s what I’m hoping.”

Gould agreed, adding that he wanted to try new things, but said “we can't say absolutely impossible because who knows what we'll be thinking a few years from now.”
