As of June 6, Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that the number of new Covid-19 infections in Africa has reached 11,668,790.
CDC also said the death cases from the outbreak was 253,427. While the number of recovered cases was 11,031,977.
According to CDC, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt are currently with the most cases in Africa.
South Africa with highest number of cases in the country
South Africa had reported the highest number of Covid-19 cases, with a total of 3,967,078. While North African Morocco has 1,168,920 cases.
Based on Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, southern Africa is the most affected region, followed by northern and eastern Africa, while Central Africa is the least affected region in Africa.
Globally, Covid-19 has so far infected 535,450,586 victims in 228 countries and territories, including 6,320,455 deaths.
