A spokeman from Lingkaran Cekap Sdn Bhd has confirmed that a toll plaza will be built at Genting Mid-Levels. The locations will be at Gohtong Jaya and Genting Sempah, but no decision has been made on the amount of toll fares to be charged, the discounts and the dates of the tolls starting.
Road Going Up To Genting Highlands Belongs To Personal
The spokesman explained that the road is a private road designed, built and maintained by Genting Malaysia on private land for the exclusive use of Resorts World Genting.
As the road requires management and intensive maintenance over a long period of time, all maintenance costs are covered by Genting. The toll fares collected will be used to maintain the road. According to sources, there will be a fee for going up, but going down will be free of charge.
