Missing Malaysian, Chong Sum Yee again asked her mother to withdraw the police report, otherwise she feared she would be transferred to another location to work.

DAP's political education director for Johor, Cheng Kai-chung, said that Chong Sum Yee‘s mother, Zhu Caiyun, received a call from her daughter after the press conference, asking her mother to withdraw the police report.

Chong Sum Yee told her mother on the phone that she would be able to return home after working for another four months and told her family not to worry.

Chong also pointed out that there are other Malaysians at the workplace, and they are earning some money there. She also mentioned the Malaysian government is unable to “rescue” them.

She also mentioned that her work supervisor didn't want her to make a big deal out of it, and she didn't think the incident was very serious, so she asked her mother to hurry up and drop the case.
