Microsoft issued an announcement on the 17th to determine the closure of Internet Explorer, which has been running for nearly 30 years.

According to The Sun, Microsoft will phase out IE after updating Microsoft Edge. The date was set for February 14, 2023.

Microsoft said that closing IE is to give users a better experience. They will help the remaining IE11 users to transit to Microsoft Edge, and those who have already migrated to Microsoft Edge will not be affected on Feb. 14.

Microsoft canceled IE on Windows 10 devices on June 15 this year on 20H2 and above, when other Windows versions (including Windows 8.1) on the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application and Windows 7 ESU, Windows SAC, etc. were not affected.
