Colorado, U.S. police said Sunday, local time, the local LGBTQ nightclub's mass shooting resulted in five deaths and 18 injured.
CNN reported that the Colorado Springs police received a call about a shooting at the LGBTQ nightclub at about 11:56 p.m. local time on the 19th. Police arrived at the scene and found multiple people shot and arrested the 22-year-old suspect Aldrich.
LGBTQ Club Is A Gay Nightclub
Club Q is a gay nightclub that hosts a cross-dressing show every Saturday, according to the Associated Press. The club issued a statement saying it would call the shooting a “hate attack” and was appalled by the shooting in the local community.
Police said the suspect did not get into an argument with anyone else but fired directly after entering the nightclub. Police have not yet determined the suspect's motive. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been involved in the investigation.
