The High Court rejected the government's application to forfeit luxury items belonging to former Prime Minister Najib and his wife, Rosmah.
High Court Judge Mohamed Jamil said the dismissal was because the Attorney General's Department could not prove that the belongings were linked to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) case.

The government is to apply for the confiscation of items, including 2,435 pieces of jewelry, seven watches and 29 designer handbags seized by police in Pavilion Residence on May 17, 2018.
Deputy Attorney General Ding Haney said they would appeal and ask the court to allow the Attorney General's Office to retain ownership of the belongings.
