Genting Malaysia Announces Skyworlds Ticket Price Adjustments

Genting Malaysia Bhd's operational subsidiary Resorts World Genting announced the changes to the ticket pricing for the Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park in a statement on the organization's website on Tuesday (Nov 1).

“At least one day must pass before purchasing any online tickets.

Resorts World Genting issued a statement saying, “To avoid any disappointment, please purchase your tickets online for more savings with our unique deals,” without mentioning the changes to ticket costs.

Prior to Tuesday, a Genting Malaysia official informed The Edge over the phone that a Genting SkyWorlds ticket for one person was RM151 if it was purchased online or on-site.

According to the spokesman, tickets for Genting SkyWorlds purchased online will continue to cost RM151 starting on Tuesday, while tickets purchased on-site will cost RM171.

The person stated, “We are implementing an online vs on-site [ticketing] price [plan].”

The official claimed that since there will be no ticket lines, Genting SkyWorlds visitors will have “a better experience before they get to the theme park.”

On February 8, Genting SkyWorlds held its soft opening.

As the theme park is still in the soft opening stage, the representative claimed that the revisions to Genting SkyWorlds' ticket pricing continue to give tourists “a soft opening price.”

Initiatives to enhance visitors' experiences at the theme park are still in progress.
