A teacher, Mohammad Fadhli Salleh, criticized the education system on Facebook and as a result, claimed to have received an official letter from the Ministry of Education saying that he would be fired or demoted. It was written in the official letter that teachers need to use the right channels to reflect on issues rather than criticize it on Facebook.
Mohammad Fadly said he received two letters. One was from the Ministry of Education's Education Services Discipline Bureau, stating that he would be dismissed or demoted, and the other was from the Director of Education of the State of Syracuse, asking him to write a letter of explanation within 14 days.
Reason For Receiving Dismissal Letter
Mohammad Fadhli said he was dealt with because he had raised issues on Facebook. The issues included the fact that students' bags were too heavy, the curriculum was too intensive, there were too many students in each class, too many subjects were being taught, and there was not enough class time for major subjects.
Mohammad Fadly said there was no problem with his performance, and he was not absent from work. Nor had he committed indecent acts with students. Nor had there been any quarrels with parents. So why should he be dealt with?
