Trisha Paytas denied a flurry of online rumours regarding their pregnancy and Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 96.

The unusual allegations began after Paytas, who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, posted that they were 1 cm dilated on Wednesday, one day before the Queen passed away. The YouTube star responded to the strange accusations on Instagram on Friday.

“Well this is awkward…to have to announce that I'm still VERY much pregnant and have NOT given birth,” Paytas, 34, wrote. “I almost felt sad yesterday to tell people this. The internet is a weird place. I don't know how any of those rumors started or why?”

Paytas then expressed regret to the British royal family and their baby.

“Felt weird to say anything at all. But so many people IRL that we know, had been texting and calling about this. Including my dad who felt out of the loop as if I wouldn't text him when I was going into labor,” they wrote. “Still don't know what to say. Other than – I'm still pregnant. And when I do give birth, we will announce it.”

In her final statement, Paytas expressed her sympathies to the royal family and described the Queen's departure as “disheartening.”

Later, Paytas responded to the rumours with a TikTok video, calling it “embarrassing” that their name was trending alongside Queen Elizabeth II on Twitter.

For some reason, I was trending on the internet yesterday, Paytas stated. The ultimate internet troll was trolled, which made me quite nervous because I've been trying to avoid drama and everything. This was attention I didn't want.

According to Paytas, “there is no reincarnation of the Queen in my kid” and they have not yet given birth.

They said, “Please be kind to my baby. She deserves love and respect. My baby is not even born and she's just like this internet joke.”

A request for response from Insider was not immediately answered by Paytas representatives.

Paytas confirmed her pregnancy in February 2022 and subsequently said she was having a girl. They wed Moses Hacmon in December 2021.
