Obama's performance on the Netflix documentary “Our Great National Parks” earned him the outstanding narrator Emmy Award.
The five-part docuseries on international national parks and wildlife was produced by Barack and Michelle Obama‘s production firm, Higher Ground.
The second US president to receive an Emmy is Obama. While he was still in office in 1956, Dwight Eisenhower received an honorary Governors Award from the Television Academy.

Obama is currently halfway to earning the EGOT, which stands for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards. Only 17 people, including Rita Moreno and John Legend, have completed the feat. Two Grammy Awards have already been given to the former president for the audiobooks of his memoirs.
