The clash between Chelsea and Tottenham ends in a draw, with Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte engaging in a furious battle. Both managers were sent off by the referee.

Before the clash at the conclusion of the game, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte had already received a yellow card each for clashing with each other. It happened when Pierre Emile Hojbjerg scored an equalizer for Tottenham.

Tuchel believed that both equalizers cannot stand

Tuchel was of the view that Richarlison was offside. And it obstructed Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. Tuchel also believed that there was a foul against Kai Havertz in the build-up of the equaliser.

After Harry Kane had made the score 2-2 from a corner, the managers clashed again. Both Tuchel and Conte were shown red by the referee.

Tuchel expressed his concern on Tottenham’s second goal, as there was an alleged foul by Cristian Romero’s against Marc Cucurella in the build up to the goal.

When the managers shook hands after the full-time whistle was blown, Tuchel held onto Conte’s hand. The managers exchanged words aggressively. The players and coaching staff rushed in and separated the heated managers.

Antonio Conte met his previous Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, as he made his way down the tunnel. The former Chelsea manager and the Chelsea captain exchanged words heatedly but it was unclear what was being said.

In the post-match interview, Tuchel claimed that he thought a manager should look each other in the eyes during a handshake. He played down the situation, claiming that, “You have emotional coaches on the touchline and that’s it.”

The Chelsea manager praised the team's performance. In his view, Chelsea dominated the game for 90 minutes, as the players were sharp and hungry.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the result, as there were clear fouls in the build-up for both equalisers. “Both goals cannot stand.” Tuchel said.

On the other hand, Conte refused to talk about the clash between the two managers. He claimed that the game was difficult for both of the teams.
